In Greek Mythology, Andromeda was the beautiful daughter of Casseopoeaia and Cepheus who was chained to a rock by Poseidon to be sacrificed to a sea monster. She was saved by Perseus who rescued her on a winged horse. Since there is a constellation in the night sky named after the greek goddess, the name “Andromeda” seemed doubly appropriate for this necklace which evokes images of stars, constellations, and the sunset.
